These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DocuMetra platform and services (the “Service”), operated by DocuMetra (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Workspace Responsibilities
The Service uses organization workspaces to scope data access and member permissions. As a workspace owner or administrator, you are responsible for:
- Managing member invitations, roles, and permissions within your workspace
- Ensuring that members of your workspace comply with these Terms
- The content and legality of all documents uploaded to your workspace
- Managing data retention and deletion within your workspace
Data within a workspace is isolated from other workspaces. You should not share workspace access credentials with unauthorized individuals.
4. Permitted Use
The Service is intended for lawful financial document processing, including bank statement extraction, balance verification, reconciliation, and related financial intelligence workflows. You may use the Service for your own business purposes or on behalf of clients where you have proper authorization to process their financial documents.
5. Prohibited Misuse
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Upload documents that you do not have the right or authorization to process
- Upload fraudulent, forged, or materially altered financial documents with the intent to misrepresent their contents
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ workspaces, accounts, or data
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service, including tenant isolation boundaries
- Use the Service to conduct or facilitate money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service beyond the provided interfaces, except as explicitly permitted
- Transmit viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt or harm the Service
- Engage in any activity that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our prior written consent
- Use the Service in a manner that infringes on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
6. Uploaded Documents & Data Responsibility
You retain ownership of all documents you upload to the Service and all data contained within them. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to upload and process all documents submitted to the Service. We do not claim ownership of your uploaded content.
By uploading documents, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your documents solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you within your workspace scope.
7. DocuMetra Processing Limitations
The Service performs automated extraction and processing of financial document data. Processing results may vary depending on document quality, format, structure, and complexity. The Service supports specific file formats (PDF, PNG, JPG, WEBP) and is optimized for bank statement documents. Results for other document types or non-standard formats may be limited or unavailable.
8. Extraction Accuracy Disclaimer
The Service uses automated document parsing and data extraction technology. While we strive for accuracy, extracted data is provided on an “as-is” basis and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Extraction results are influenced by the quality, formatting, and structure of the original document. Mathematical reconciliation verifies numerical consistency within extracted data but does not guarantee the accuracy of the source document or the physical authenticity of any financial statement.
9. Financial Information Disclaimer
The Service is a document processing and data extraction tool. It does not provide financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or accounting advice.
The extracted data, financial summaries, categorizations, signals, and any other outputs generated by the Service are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for financial, investment, lending, audit, or compliance decisions.
10. Human Verification Responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all extracted data before relying on it for any purpose. The Service provides tools for human review, in-place editing, and explicit approval workflows specifically because automated extraction requires human oversight. Exports are designed to be authorized by a human reviewer before downstream use. You acknowledge that reliance on unverified automated output is at your own risk.
11. Service Availability
We use reasonable efforts to make the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, infrastructure updates, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from Service interruptions.
12. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, user interface, design, algorithms, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of DocuMetra and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.
You retain all ownership rights to your uploaded documents and the data contained within them. We do not acquire ownership of your content through your use of the Service.
13. Termination & Suspension
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in prohibited activities, or if continued provision of the Service is no longer feasible.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for a reasonable period to allow you to retrieve it, after which it may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY EXTRACTED DATA, FINANCIAL SUMMARIES, CATEGORIZATIONS, OR OTHER OUTPUTS PRODUCED BY THE SERVICE.
15. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (USD $100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DocuMetra and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable laws or third-party rights.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should discontinue use of the Service.
18. General Provisions
